Each safari vehicle has a tap on the side and a bar of soap, which you are free to use at any time to wash
your hands especially after being to the bush toilet.
Mineral water is available and recommended to use.
Hot bucket showers will be available from the afternoon between lunch and teatime or in the evening after
returning from the game drive.


A valid passport is required and visas are required by some nationalities. We recommend clients check
requirements with visa authorities well in advance. No inoculations are required at this time but anti-malaria
tablets are advisable year-round.


Light weight tropical clothing with rain wear from Nov to Mar. The evenings can be cool from May to Aug,
during the winter months. Neutral colours are best on safari and smart casual is suitable for the evenings
(camouflage clothing is not permitted). There is a 12 kg baggage limit on internal flights and soft bags are
recommended. There is a daily laundry service in most camps. Sun block, sunglasses, hats and insect
repellent are essential.

A good pair of binoculars, a camera and comfortable walking shoes will enhance your stay. Summer
(Sep-Apr): Average temperature is 85°F during the day and between 60°-70°F at night. Winter (May-Aug):
Average temperature is 65°F during the day and between 40°-50°F at night.




Botswana currency is the Pula. The South African Rand, US Dollars, Euros, Pounds are accepted.


There are space restrictions on any itinerary road transfers. We would like to recommend you to travel with
soft luggage and the weight should not be over 15kg.  


Major international airlines fly into Johannesburg, RSA capital. Daily flights from Johannesburg are available
on Air Botswana to Maun and regular flights into Kasane. Please let us know if you need assistance in
booking your flight to Maun.
